Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. Though she concedes boycott efforts by some on the left have a negative effect, she rejects calls to keep peace efforts local.01:12 01.05.16 | 2 comments
Jordan was designed by the British to be a basis against emancipation of Arabs and a barrier to protect Islrael. Jordan monarchy played perfectly that role with some glitches but always toeing the line when it counts. In 1967, the Arab army, as it is called, almost gave the West Bank, Jerusalem and Al Aqsa without fight. Imagine what happens if borders with Palestine are to be open for Jihad to liberate the Holy Land and Al Aqsa. In the aftermath of 1967 debacle, Palestinian organizations, mostly secular, used Jordan as a basis, but were quickly defeated by King Hussain who since secured Israel's borders as did other Arab regimes. Jihad to defend muslim lands and honour is a sacred obligation. Muslim and Arab peoples expect that to happen any moment. It is not the barbaric scenry that might come to mind due to the propaganda and brain-washing, but rather expression of obedience to God, scarifice and dignity . Jordan accession to nuclear expertise is dangerous to Israel. Jordanians are in majority Palestinians who were kicked out from their homeland by Israel and their siblings. Israel wants to have all cards and be always the master.
