Meron Benvenisti is looking for 'a convincing reason to justify arbitrarily preventing some 200 people from crossing from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank. After all, this isn't an attempt to infiltrate Israel, but a demand that Israel uphold an old commitment regarding the provision of safe passage between Gaza and the West Bank'. how about this one- it is israeli territory they want to pass through. the commitment Meron Benvenisti mentions is not the only one that exists. arabs haven't fulfilled a single commitment on their part, most importantly preventing attacks, on israel. or is it only israel that is supposed to uphold all previous commitments.
