This stuff should really be discussed on the internet, each claim analyzed and debated, with the Conservative gedolim invited to join the discussion. There is a great benefit to be had by OPEN blogs where issues can be chewed over more than once by people other than Conservative professionals. There is no reason at this late stage for autocracies and little fiefdoms, halachic decisions made behind closed doors and all the rest of the top down management. The only way is to open up CJ to democratic discussions. In a family everyone gets to talk. The problem with CJ lies not in the content, but in the process. The desperate need is not for an ideology with a bow around it, but for some intellectual criticism, some passion, and frankly some populist attacks on individual rabbis and machers.
