the tendrils of aipac's influence that grip their souls have squeezed tightly to remind them of its power; real or perceived. although i sometimes think that many of them act in total ignorance of truth regarding ALL aspects of the conflict, and end up following the precedents set by others. they go with the flow because they really don't know. everyone remembers obama's "undivided jerusalem--oops, what i meant was...". unfortunately, the majority of these guys and gals are tied up in their own little world of politics, that they don't have the time, or the inkling, to spend too much learning the intricacies of the mid-east conflict. this makes them easily influenced by the more senior members who are aipac's thralls. justice and human rights for the palestinians will never come from the legislative branch of the american government until aipac's manipulations are exposed to the american public and it and its thralls are politically minimized. the ONLY hope lies with the department of state(which isn't a hold up), and a president who's not afraid to put aipac's power to test(which has been THE hold up thus far).
