So often, editorials are exercises in épater-le bourgeois. This one calls the situation by its true names, and doesn't turn reality upside down to sell a twisted denial to conventional wisdom. Here, conventional and intellectual wisdoms cannot but converge. The Russian and Chinese veto to an already watered-down resolution, is a spit in the blood and tears of the Syrian people. I wonder what can be done now to save the hundreds and hundreds of men, women and children who will be massacred in Homs, Idlib, Deraa, Damascus, Hama, Latakia and elsewhere. Russia and China have blood on their hands.
