concessions are a sign of weakness in the minds of the arabs. israel needs to negotiate strongly and put the palestinians in a situation where they have no other alternative. otherwise for them they will always perceive the situation to be greener grass on the other side and wait for more offers & concessions from israel. That's the problem with leftist governments, their too keen on 'giving' and appeasing arabs, instead of putting them in a situation where they have no other choice. gideon fails to consider the fact that hezbollah will automatically be strengthened by a withdrawal of the golan heights. Any withdrawal from the golan heights must be contingent on the end of military support for hizbollah by Syria. Why give it away for anything less? Thank g-d gideon levy isn't the prime minister.
