I come from a jewish mother and a muslim father but both of my parents do not practise religions regularly. My mothers family practises jewish traditions but in a very mild way. My father does not do anything about religion he probably believes in the god of football. So I'm also like an atheist but I'm supporting the jewish state and its right to exist in every condition. It just comes from a very basic intinct: devotion to your mother and to your roots. You can not ignore that reality. I feel attached to the country of my residence but also feel the same attachment to Israel. I feel like I belong to the jewish community but my commitment to that community is not because it is a religion. Its because it is formed by a group of people who want to take care of other people with same menthality and background. If someday people decide to harm my family or my community, I know that Israel and its people are going to be the first ones who try to protect us. So, it gives me relief to know that they are there safe and sound.
