I do not care what the man's religion or ethnicity was or is now. I care that he was at the time an American citizen, under oath to uphold the Constitution as a federal officer, who sold US secrets to China, Pakistan, Apartheid-era South Africa, and Israel for money, which allegedly resulted in the deaths of Americans and American agents. I consider that he has already received extraordinary clemency in that, as part of his plea deal, he was convicted of espionage rather than treason, and spared the death penalty.
