Ataturk was a brave, intelligent and honest man who fought to save his country from an imperialist invasion and then established peace with all former enemies of Turkey at a time the word "peace" was not at all popular. He criticized Hitler and Stalin before they started their carnage, at a time nobody was predicting the mayhems that would follow. He worked very hard to initiate the modernization of Turkey with the hope of it to become a just and secular country. Tayyip is the exact antithesis of all of these above. He is an islamist opportunist with dictatorial tendencies. A very dangerous man. This referendum was scum-bag. From outside it looks like a democracy package, in truth its aim is to weaken the secular infrastructure and the army.
