Well, not at all surprised that this sort of Utopian screed is found here at Israel's only Communist Palestinian Hebrew-English daily, but that said, it's still so full of holes, it wouldn't hold water for more than a few seconds. Because a number of completely detached Israelis (and considering Haaretz's readership numbers, there are apparently plenty) decided to go to Cairo and Turkey, without being savagely slaughtered is this man's basis for declaring that basically all threats against the Jewish State are imagined or overblown? This oozes of such leftist contempt for reality that it could be considered dangerous, that is, if anyone in a position of merit were to actually take it seriously. But no, it's just a little light reading for the detached here in Israel and the very-much engaged over in Europe, all of whom are nodding in agreement with this article, as it serves their personal ethos on a number of varying levels. Gross.
