"[Hamas is] practically begging to engage in dialogue and to reconcile with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. But he remains intransigent. He will only talk to Hamas if its leaders undo the bloody coup they staged in Gaza and issue an apology." Finally, a man of principle! Abbas may yet be the leader who can bring peace. "It limits the conference's chances of success." Who cares if the conference succeeds- we need the peace process to succeed! Nobody is going to be better off if Hamas participates in the conference, makes promises, and then breaks them! People, it's time to understand that words have no control over events; actions do. Having the conference may bring about a little positive change, and not having it a little negative. There won't be any "crippling damage," no matter how much the Arabs wish for it.
