The 30-year-old assailant was killed by the police after injuring four people in the Nazareth Restaurant and Deli.22:38 12.02.16 | 0 comments
This case demonstrates that under Israeli law, the onus on the prosecution is to prove guilt rather than disprove innocence - which is how it should be in a democracy. If this man had not been an Arab but a Jewish factional leader, the case would probably never have reached the court in any case. I expect the police would have closede the file for "lack of public interest." After all, how many hundreds of right-wingers have spat in the faces of soldiers or policement and the state never lifted a finger against them?
