Any good deed that is coerced or done under duress cannot be a mitzvah at all After all, aren't they (all personal mitzvahs) an outward sign of an inward set of beliefs?.Those submitting to and those enforcing such pressures are in my humble opinion wasting their time and more importantly His time.Just as plainly as" The Commandments", the words most important are plain and need little or no interpretation nor need policing of compliance which I believe is done much better by G-d Himself than by those claiming to know better than all, the inner workings of His Mind .I believe protecting society's members from the harmful consequences of undesired behavior is the only case for one man's interference into another's affairs How powerful is a supreme being if He needs us to police his children?.
