At annual Super Bowl Sunday prayer event, held in Israel for the first time, women at the Western Wall rejoiced in the recent egalitarian win there. But some women consider it a loss.20:11 07.02.16 | 0 comments
"All that doesn't mean that our relationship should become a subservient one, in which we automatically do what they tell us to do." Clegg was, of course, referring to the UK's relationship with the US. But the same holds for Israel. Despite its relationship with the US, Israel must not be subservient, or do what the US tells them to do. There's not much beyond this that I can agree with. Clegg acknowledges that Europe is "one of the largest providers of assistance, infrastructure and money to the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza", yet rather than push the PA to make real moves toward peace, the pressure is all on Israel. Having Clegg and the party of Tonge in positions of influence is just scary.
