    By your logic, the only thing that matters is the number of casualties. Do you think that if Israelis didn't have bomb shelters in their towns and cities that the numbers would remain the same? The difference here is that Israel cares whether or not its civilian population is harmed, and thus it has setup an infrastructure to protect them. To Hamas, it is precisely your type of response that makes having civilian casualties in their ranks a huge benefit to their cause, and thus they choose to attack from their civilian areas and make no effort to protect the population. The "numbers and figures" you speak of, DON'T "TELL IT ALL" and YES, further words ARE NECESSARY. You forget that numbers are often manipulated to produce desired outcomes. The numbers don't tell you really who were and weren't militants. Those "figures" compiled used age to determine militant or civilian status. Age, has little relevance in regards to Hamas and other terrorists, they recruit in grammar school.
