You make a good point Marlene. Arab and Muslim ideology need not be unrepentant vis a vis the opposition to a soveriegnty for a Jewish Umma qua Umma in a part of the land of Israel/Falastin to date. But so far, only individuals, the Hashemites, Anwar Sadat, and some others, but no ideological group or respectable theological or legal school has made such a statement. The acceptance of Israel has thus been a mere tactic in a continuing war. It has not been sincere. As for the racism on the Jewish side. The majority of world Jewry is against racism which is why at this critical moment support for the settlers is lessening. Many Israeli doves viewed Intifada II and suicide bombing precisely as a tactic to get doves to do what Gidi Levi would have us do. But we won't.
