As you know, Israel targetted terrorist bases in Beirut and elsewhere that were being used to fire missiles into Israel. That is the definition of self-defence and is 100% legal under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The Syrian Foreign Minister did not threaten to attack Israeli military bases, he threatened to attack "cities". That is beyond reasonable doubt a war crime as well as an act of illegal aggression which would entitle Israel to use as much force as necessary to defeat the aggressor. Don't cry to the UN Human Right Council when your next war blows up in your face.
