Civilizations don?t die. They don?t survive either. They are under constant alteration. If people would accept this reality, we would have a far more peaceful planet. Indeed it are the conservatives al over the world, convinced of the superiority of their own culture, that keep on fighting wars in the name of their God. If a Jew of today would meet a Jew of the time before the Diaspora, he would probably deny any acquaintance. There are as many ?Jewish cultures? as there are countries they have lived in. Some of them even turned into black people. Let us stop the identity crap. Let us stop the costly unnatural programs of trying to get more Jews to an already overcrowded country, were water supply will turn into an ultimate battle. A multitude of cultures is richness as long as we see differences as a chance to learn and alter in new and better.

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
