Saudi Arabia gave birth to al Queda along with the Pakistani military intelligence who funneled US funds to them and their ilk back in the 1980's. America blindly contributed and benefited from those two regimes at various times and even now. You know full well that under Carter and Reagan, Osama Bin Laden himself was considered as an ally of the US in Afghanistan. Today the US are actually financing many terrorist groups in the mid east. Those who previously targeted Americans and Shia in Iraq, to take on al Queda. They are indirectly financing those Sunni terrorists who are appearing more prominently in Lebanon, so as to tackle Hizbolla. (see S. Hersh) As for groups that claim affinity with al Queda, (they are many and they are not under direct control)they are to be expected when chaos is the goal of policy as it has been in Gaza. Israel is happy to see Gaza in chaos with it split from the West Bank.It sought anarchy when it supported Fatahs fight against Hamas rather than encourage accommodation between the groups. Ciporah when you kick a dog it often bites back. So why blame the dog?
