Ilene is correct. The U.S. has paid a heavy price for its skewed policies toward Israel. We have lost respect and prestige, and ultimately power. We are still strong but unless we join the rest of the world in condemning Israel we will become progressively weakee. Sixty years ago there was reason to support Israel. We had no idea what it would become over the next 62 years. And when America decides it can no longer cave in to every Israeli demand, other countries which seek America's favor will quickly follow suit. Already Israel is recognized as one of the biggest problems the world faces-- not because Israel itself is powerful but because it has alienated so many of America's allies.
