So...if I'm an American, female, Jewish convert who married a Jewish man and had children by him, which we raised in the Jewish faith, my children and I could not become Israeli citizens because the rabbi who oversaw my conversion is not recognized by the israeli Rabbinate. And, if my husband was compelled to make aliyah, we could not go and live with him in Israel because we are not considered "Real Jews" in the eyes of the Israeli Rabbinate even though we practice our faith and fervantly share his desire to live there. Therefore, our family will be broken up. Have I gotten it right, Cipora?
