if you read more about the 1991 incident in Crown Heights you'll find that a) Yosef Lifsh the driver of the car stayed at the scene of the accident and attempted to assist - he was mobbed by the crowd though before the ambulance and police arrived b) Al Sharpton (who didn't help matters during the riots that followed the accident nor after the murder of Yankel Rosenbaum) flew to Israel on Yom Kippur weekend to retrieve Lifsh from Israel...but Lifsh had not fled to Israel nor was he being hidden in Israel...he was in Toronto Canada! c) It never was determined if Lifsh ran a red or yellow light but either way his car was hit by another car which caused his car to head in the direction of the child Gavin Cato d) There was trial in NY but Lifsh was not convicted of a crime....and the case was not forgotten, Al Sharpton continues to fuel the fires of hate...see his remarks marking the 20th anniversary of the accident in Aug. 2011. In contrast the two French men that killed Lee Zetuni didn't stop to help her and packed their bags and fled to France within 3 hrs of killing her and refuse to return to Israel for trial.
