I know for a fact, from my own experience that Meir Hospital (Kfar Saba) discourages abortions A LOT. The vaada (committee) is scattered in different buildings and once you track them down you find it is missing an entire section of the committee, I kid you not. I got as far as a meeting with the psychologist in a basement area with very discreet hours and told me I need to be mentally unstable for consideration. Because I don't have a car, but work full time and I live in Kfar Saba this was my only choice. Meanwhile a friend checked out Assuta in Rishon and that was another story....did you get as far as to investigate how each kupat holim interprets the law? forget Judaism...health care providers carry the weight

from the article: Are abortions legal under Jewish law?
