I am reminded what the Chazon Ish Zt'l said when he was approached with the siggestion that the charedim and the chilonim/zionist have talks to try and find some common ground. He said: How can we have discussions with them when we dont even speak the same language? What they (the chilonim) call love, we call Kareit! Any charedi who tells you that they want to find common ground with chilonim is either manipulating you or is a liar or is an idiot. I teach my kids that my neighbors who have pirced tounges and smoke on shobbos are goyim. I have no desire for acceptance or understanding from the chiloni world. The good news is that the chilonim are losing. They are avg'ing 1.7 kids per woman, and we are avg'ing 4.3 kids per woman. Hopefully with 50 years the chilonim who still exist will be fed up living in a torah society, and will pack up and go live in haifa or eilat or california.

Ashkenazi and Barak.

Why Barak regrets speaking out on Iran

There was no security breach in what the former defense minister said about how an attack was thwarted; what has suffered is mainly Israel’s image.

How the bagel went from shtetls to haute cuisine

A visit to the world's bagel capital is a chance to marvel at how this unassuming Jewish-Ashkenazi food has come from its 17th-century beginnings.
