    Study your property rights in the US. Answer, you don't HAVE any. Unless you continue to pay rent to the government in the form of property taxes. Even then if you have a particular bit of land that a developer happens to want and the city council cooperates, it can be taken from you for far less than its real worth. And, you're assuming you own the mineral rights under your home as well, in point of fact for MOST people they do NOT own the mineral rights, particularly in developments (where the mineral rights are frequently sold separately by the original land owner) and cities, so someone COULD have a deep tunnel under your house and there's nothing you can do about it. WTF is up with the state of the educational system in this county?
