Nearly every delegate at the Tel Aviv conference is happy to declare their belief in the two-state solution, and to explain why it's not yet possible.18:45 11.02.16 | 0 comments
In the previous right wing governments under Netanyahu, the taxpayers' money went to the partisan ultra-Orthodox causes creating an increasing population that did not work. The direction of lip-service and to a certain extent action by supporting the Jewish settlers in the West Bank financially still remained a direction of the previous Netanyahu-led governments. Now the priority to finance settlement development and destroy the already battered two-state solution will gain more financial aid because of pressure from the Bayit Hayehudi and the extreme right wing elements in Likud-Beitenu. The "moderate" members of the Likud in the Knesset have all but disappeared and this will serve the occupation and damage Israel even further. This editorial states correctly that the right wing leadership in the various government cartels responsible for housing will be catalysts for increased building in the West Bank.
