I do not believe that marriage should be political. There are many mixed marriages that are based on love and respect for the other and there are many same religion marriages which fall apart. Since religion has never been a large part of my life as it has not been a large part of the lives of many Israelis and diaspora Jews, I cannot say that ones religion should be a major factor in a marriage unless the couple want it to be. By the way, as misguided, stupid and ugly as it may be, perhaps those Palestinians who feel they have nothing for which to live, regard suicide bombings as justified self defense. I haven't lived under a long and terrible occupation for almost 40 years and I would guess that neither have you. So how do we judge what happens to people under such circumstances, eh?
