Besides the onus is primarily upon the Pals , not the israelis, to make good, positive, forward-thinking policy decisions, the kind that lead to foreign financial support, easing of israeli restrictions which are only in place under the threat of terrorist attacks, etc... Further, even if Israel entirely dropped its guard tomorrow, many pals , especially Hamas, who hate israel much much more than they love their own people, would not make the idealogical, financial, and political shifts necessary to solve their own problems. Thirdly, one cannot objectively look at the israeli-palestinian situation and say rationally, that even if the responsibility was primarily Israels, which is not the case, that they could remove all or most of the restrictions which are in place for good reason. As time goes on, and in good faith, some restrictions may be removed. The pals are always looking for someone to blame other than , ironically, the party involved with the most culpability, them.
