These are not examples of success, except maybe CH where huge wealth and a Cantonal devolved systems allows for more successful " self determination". The break up of Ex Yugoslavia is a better example of how the imposed unification of various nations, religions, ethnicities failed so misearably and violantly. Its an imperfect solution and painful to both IL, PALS and respective diasporas, but IL as a Jewish State alongside a PAL state defining itself is the least violant most likely to succeed option =The original UN partition offer which the Pals stupidly rejected and the IL's stupidly exploited. Maybe after generations have passsed both will learn to live together under a new modus vivendi, but dreams of a Unitary State or pushing either side into the sea are the fantasies of idealists who will take both to IL and PAL into a nighmare of destruction.
