I am baffled by the notion that it is somehow the responsibility of the US to stop rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel...more appropriately that question should be put to Benjamin Netanyahu and the citizens of Israel. Obama should realize by now that neither side is truly interested is peace when the status quo insures continued political viability and continued power. Hamas...the "democratically" elected government in Gaza uses its people to hide behind as soon as the shooting starts...the PA in the West Bank is historically almost totally inept...Israel says it supports a 2-state solution while continuing to build settlements, which in the absence of negotiated final borders...creep its borders ever eastward. If Obama doesn't want to play this game, I cannot really blame him...the security situation in the ME is not his job to fix. Obama should get serious about peace in the ME if and only if the counties in the ME demonstrate a willingness to talk and negotiate.
