Not all IDF soldiers are alike and most are like anyone else, NICE PEOPLE. That being said, if what this soldier did was wrong then I hope he is punished. I served in Egoz and in Regiment 12 in Golani. Some of the nicest people I ever met were in Regiments 12, 13 and 51. Golani is a good place. Bad apples exist everywhere. What you can say about the IDF and Israel is there is no culture of violence nor advocacy of hating any one group. The Arab side focuses on way too much hatred that has gotten them nowhere. They can still change their approach to envision the kind of Middle East President Shimon Peres has written about.
