Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. There is only a very small minority of Jewish Israelis who ever stand up for the Palestinians. The rest either don't care or hold that they are imaginery people who are somehow the occupiers. There is nothing stopping the young from thinking for themselves; the sad truth is that yound Jewish Israelis are quite comfortable with the occupation status quo. Maybe not so comfortable with the cost of living.
