Israel may unleash its power upon the beginning of conflict, but that is how we survive. The reason Israel has been surviving is because it has been winning wars. The first war we lose is the last war we'll fight. When someone attacks - and that is what the Palestinians are doing - you don't wait for another attack; you fight back. It may seem brutal from the sidelines but none of the attacks the Palestinians are doing are done blindly. Rather, the force that Israel has projected in this particular circumstance has startled the Palestinians and hopefully helped them understand that they can't get away with attacking Israel. You can say Israel always goes with the 'they started it' excuse, but that's because they always do start it. What can we learn from this? If they don't start, we won't have anything to respond to.
