Angry journalists, who initially boycotted the session, describe subcommittee's claims to be part of a 'witch hunt,' and slam Israel's 'authoritarian' efforts to clamp down on the media.14:27 09.02.16 | 2 comments
But then, that's really the only way to spin it or put a nice friendly face on it to the outside world. The policy of putting asylum seekers in prison and trying to coerce them to sign documents in a foreign language they do not understand, to give up rights their Human Rights, and being sent back to their dangerous country (which is why they left) is reprehensible! There is no excuse, which is why Israel has been called out on this very serious Human Rights situation. For shame! With respect to the budget deficits - imagine how much money would be saved if Israel stopped its military behemoth that is occupying foreign lands? How much wasted on illegal settlements (and all the security forces that entails) that _should_ be spent inside Israel's own boundaries? Start treating others humanely.
