Israel should endeavour to meet the highest standards in the world for its Arabic textbooks. Hope this will lead to a review of and, as a result, improvements in the process by which textbooks are vetted. I am sure that this process is currently no worse than that in place for many other textbooks, and in many other countries in the region and in the world. But that does not mean it is good enough! Complacency is the enemy of quality.
