I find almost all the talkbacks missed the point. Yes, soldiers sometimes do unthinkable things. However, what makes the army moral is not that all its soldiers do the right thing, but that the State takes responsibility for the wrong things. Here, these soldiers will have their day in court. That is both moral and civilized. Isn't that the ideal?
