'After spending tens of millions of dollars of the investors' money, the way to receivership looked shorter than ever,' recalls Amimon's CEO.02:21 27.11.15 | 0 comments
After the 2005 election, the Bush Sharon doctrine was that Palestinian aid and their won revenues would be withheld and the US used its influence to limit all their other options to Iran. Hamas opted for Iranian aid and gave some to the PA until, the Bush sponsored failed coup against Hamas in Gaza. Once the PA had been killed off in Gaza, the US and Israel restored PA funding and US aid. Then Israel insisted that the PA get hold of Gaza for peace talks to work - a classic Catch 22. So if there is reconciliation, does Israel want the unified entity funded and influenced by Iran? or maybe the US and EU and even the Arab league. It would seem it is time for a revisit to the decision. Bush is no longer in charge in the US and Obama is unlikely to like the Idea of Iranian financing of the PA.
