It's hard to find what part of what you wrote is true. Many left-wing (I hate dividing people in left and right, but you started) Jews don't have or care about their cars, eat neither pork nor shrimp, all of them know that Israel is not about camels and donkeys... The stereotype you tried to build is ridiculous. To begin with, what does it mean to be a 'true Jew'? Does it require one to be shomer Shabbat, have to sets of cutlery...? Despite not believing in God, I consider myself Jew (so does Halakha) and keep some of the traditions. Additionally, my being Jewish doesn't imply I have to live in Israel. I was born in a different country, with which I also identify. Given the current political situation in Israel - where 'leftist' has become an insult, where everyone that criticizes the government is deemed stupid, traitor or self-hater, where the conflict with the Palestinians continues to be neglected and downplayed, where religion continues to interfere with the law - no wonder why so called leftist don't want to settle there.
