Well said Bruno. There has been so much jingoism surrounding this that I was giving up hope that Israelis would understand how much Olmert and co have lost for them by listening slavishly to the moron Bush. As an Aussie I know what that is like. WE got stuck in Vietnam for 12 years with the US, now 58 months we are stuck in Afghanistan and 41 months stuck in Iraq. With no gain at all just 100's of thousands of dead Afghans and Iraqis, an orgy of utter destruction, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and Haditha not to mention other atrocities. AS the US has suffered so have we with no-one caring too much anymore about us at all. And 75% of us didn't want to blow up Iraq. Israel is the true loser here and that is a terrible shame for the good people of the country. However, reparations for the $13 billion in damage in Lebanon that we have now seen on our TV screens will be very hard for Israels leaders to explain to the world.
