You sound very much like the Boers/en in Apartheid South Africa, who were giving employment to the black South Africans. The reality of the situation in the occupied territories is a colonial situation, where the occupier is systematically preventing the development of the indigenous Palestinian economy. The only thing that Palestinians are good for is as a source of cheap labour and as consumers of Israeli products. The reason why companies are situated in colonies in the occupied territories is because it is very cheap for them. If Sodastream would have been honest about wanting the best for the Palestinians it should have set up shop in the PA, not in the colony of Maale Adumim, where Palestinians are not allowed to live as equals. Scarlett Johanssen's continued association with Sodastream tells me, that she does not have the moral authority to be an Oxfam ambassador, which is a prestigious position. I would advise Oxfam to be more careful and thoughtful in the selection process of its ambassadors in future.
