'A military official told Army Radio the army suspected settler violence against Palestinians'. Truly incisive! This has been going on for ages in the Arab villages around Yitzhar, as the settlers try to take over Pal land by threats and force. There's only 700 people in Yitshar but boy, they sure cause a heap of trouble, like so many of these hilltop zealots. How long before the brilliant Israeli investigators, look-the-other-way IDF and complicit occupying administration arrest these Jewish vandals? They have no problem illegally raiding area A and shooting unarmed so-called 'suspects' in cold blood, but arresting the obvious ringleaders in Yitzhak, Ma'on or Shilo just... just never seems to happen. It's almost like the settlers have carte blanche to pursue their violent land-grabbing campaign. It leads to the uncomfortable conclusion that, rather than acting against the wishes of the state, they are in fact the anointed agents of the state's Eretz Israel policy.
