PLO's Saeb Erekat says talks have ground to a halt due to Israel's rejection of Palestinian requests to resume full security duties in Area A.15:16 03.05.16 | 0 comments
...that's why a friend of mine was slapped by an Israeli soldier at Qalandiya checkpoint because he said "good morning" to the teenage soldier. The soldiers can't handle civility coming from a Palestinian; they have been programmed by their system not to see us as human beings (just watch the responses to this slapped-friend story, which will undoubtedly remind me that there have been bombs at checkpoints and in Israel, and will ignore the fact that these checkpoints and the occupation have no right to be there in the first place). So that's all it is, Brad, pure hateful survival instincts and at this point in time we Palestinians bear the brunt of the victim's rage. Just yesterday somebody who is supposedly pro-peace hinted that medical care for Nail would be considered a 'reward', kind of like giving a bone to a dog. No Brad, if even the pro-peace Israelis don't see us as human beings, your calls here are useless.
