Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. Though she concedes boycott efforts by some on the left have a negative effect, she rejects calls to keep peace efforts local.01:12 01.05.16 | 2 comments
Please let me emphasize to you that in NO way do I want to see another war here. That's the farthest thing from my mine. But if media that you receive in the states would fill you in on everything that is going on here you would also be gearing up for the next war. Hezbollah is and always has been restocking their arsenal and now has over 20,000 rockets aimed at Israel. Hezbollah is also presently trying to overthrow the government of Lebanon. So if we were to just sit here and not prepare that would be very foolish. The last war we went through with no bombshelter in the building we live in. As of March 1 we will be moving to an apartment with a safe room(bomb shelter)right in the apartment. And one of the first things we will be doing is stocking that safe room with water and the like.Brad we are not Israelis. We are Americans who live in Israel because we love Israel. We stand with Israel and if need be we will die for the Land and the people of Israel.
