The fence is being built for purposes of security for the Israeli people, and not as a boundary. Israel really had no choice but to try to minimize the terror attacks. By the route of the fence, Israel does not intend to abandon the Jews of Yesha. The fence is also not intended to make Arabs who live on the "West" side of the Fence, and across the so-called "green line" into Israelis. It is because of repeated acts of Arab terrorism that Israel was forced to erect the fence in the first place, and a fence had not been placed there for over thirty-eight years.
