Both the US and Israeli governments have a massive propaganda and disinformation campaign underway with intent of justifying a war. Whether the leaks were part of the campaign or an attempt to head off war is open to debate. Remember the effort General Brent Scowcroft to head off the Bush Boy's war incitement campaign in the summer of 2002? Scowcroft, the National Security Advisor to the Bush boy's father George Herbert Walker Bush tried frantically to counter the neo-conservative campaign to start a war with Iraq. It is not improbable that saner minds in Israel are trying to avert a disaster. Israel does not have the ability to conquer and occupy Iran. The USA proved in Iraq and Afghanistan it cannot win a war of occupation. The delusion that Iran will just give up if attacked is psychotic at best. Perhaps suicidal. Intel weenies have to be aware of these facts.
