Negotiations simply do not make sense when Israel commits to a full settlement freeze and subsequently declares not to adhere to it because clauses in signed contracts are 'preconditions'. Similar examples can be found on the Palestinian side. Both sides first need to agree on whether they want to negotiate agreements that they intend to hold up, or whether, as Israel says in this case, they don't. If so, they should move their negotiations more into some kind of a fun show format, not intended for serious consideration but entertainment. A reality show on TV would be a possible venue.
