These seem to be the differences before negotiations. Israel wants the PA to renounce the insistence of Palestinian refugees returning to pre-1967 borders. President Abbas wants Israel to reveal what it intends to propose as its borders. These critical points are relevant to the core issues which were meant to be negotiated at the diplomatic talks, not before the talks. The best scenario would be to base the negotiations, not particularly accepting the initiative, but base the talks on the positive merits Arab Peace Initiative of 2002 and just get to the peace table.
