excellent article. Karmon forgot Canada when mentioning home grown terrorism - a number of Canadians from the London Ontario area have sent a number of jihadists overseas - attack on Algerian gas plant and another in Somalia if not others. London, Ontario Canada along with Toronto and it's surrounding cities are hot beds of islamic radicalization. Recruiting from the jails is very common. Purda, anti-americanism, dogma against Jews in general, segregation from the rest of populace that aren't muslim, promoting political stances in the mosques, radicalizing new immigrants and their mosques are also very common. There is always going to be someone they are introduced to that will introduce them to more extreme interpretations of islamic literature, dogma, social groups. What is commonly heard - the countries they leave - don't allow the fundamental muslims to practice their extreme form of islam and say how happy they are to live in a free country to practice it the way they want - radicalizing their youth along the way. In the late 90's those young student types were very little and vulnerable to dogma from their parents and their mosques attendants. Now they are at the ripe age of 18,19, 20 etc, to put the dogma - especially jihad philosophy depending on which translator of islamic texts their parents read and allow their children to read - into practice.
