I've been saying this for years. A Dayton type peace is the only one that will work with Israel/Palestine. Get all the leaders into a room, put enprmous pressure onto them, and don't let them out until peace is signed. We all knowe what the peace will be because it has almost been reaches so many times: mutual land swaps to give Israel some of teh large settlements, token right of return for a hundred thousand or so Pals and comoensation for others, and some Palestinian presence in East Jerusalem. That's the deal. As at Dayton, people can wrangle over the exact border for a few days, but that's the deal. It could be imposed tomorrow. All that's stopping it is AIPAC and Christian Zionist control of American policy. At Dayton, the US was behind the international effort. With Israel/Palestine it is the only thing stopping it. So really the international community should now inundate the US media and turn its full fire on the White House and say 'Get out of the way of Middle East peace!'
