Laor is stuck in the "anti-imperialism" romantics of the sixties and seventies which united Western Marxists and Arab dictators (now replaced by Islamists). There is not a single French soldier or settler in Algeria and not a single Israeli soldier or settler in Gaza, but Lair still fights French and Israeli bloodthirsty Imperialists. On the day a French Jewish kid was beaten up to the shouts of "dirty Jew״ by a Muslim gang (those anti-colonialist fighters who decided to go to France and rise against French colonialists 30 years after they disbanded the colonies) Laor choses to write this ridiculous dribble. Why does a serious paper like Haaretz host such ideologically brainwashed Editor? What, in the name of Moses, Marx, or Mohammed, has Islamist terrorism and Islamist racism to do with anticolonialism. Francois Fanon is turning in his grave.
